Stephen Sawyer, KY- www.art4god.com Hi Ron, Thank you for bringing such a unique and powerful expression of the Gospel through your African heritage and culture. There is nothing like it anywhere. You will be an inspiration to many artists by sharing your gift in this way. I am delighted that you participated this year in the ICAC.

As usual, your work is beautiful. You have a GOD given talent and it is good to know that you are following your path. GOD Bless my friend and continue to walk that path. Peace

Artist Ron EA Powell (REAP) of Irvington, New Jersey, has received three Special Recognition Merit Awards for his artwork in the "11th Annual Faces Juried Online International Art Exhibition" hosted by Upstream People Gallery. This international exhibition received approximately 300 entries from around the world and 58 artists were selected by juror Larry Bradshaw, Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Professor Bradshaw states this about this specially recognized work: "’RON EA POWELL (REAP) of Irvington, New Jersey digs deep into the character of his subjects in a most striking way. His genius shows through in his work "Armor 10 ‘Endure’" creating a powerful and emotional quality. Richly colored with bright yellow with a little bit of blue accent surrounding a beautifully rendered black and white face, he again accomplishes a compelling work called "Armor 9 ‘Heart’". And in an outstanding way he presents "John 9:13 (Self Portrait)" with the positive/negative interplay producing a profound work indeed!.’"

RON EA POWELL (REAP) of Irvington, New Jersey uses graphite to model the full framed drawing of “Aspire” showing a youth looking upwards. And his work in oil on linen “Give Me Myself” is striking in terms of the idea of masking identity. He uses oil differently than usual in that it’s mostly black and white. In his work “Faith” the tall vertical panel helps to convey a kind of glimpse into the presentation of the idea.

I enjoyed your website and I am thrilled that others can see and know how great of an artist you are. I am very proud of your accomplishment and who knows I may purchase artwork in the future. My husband, Chris and I bedroom theme is African. : ) One of my co-worker is from Africa and ocassionally visits there. Last year she brought me back a real african statue of a man and woman intwine. It is small but it fits right into our theme. Miss ya'. Keep in touch. Again, fantastic job.

Congratulations on the on-line gallery. It looks great. I may need to enlist your services when I finally finish this album. Your creative eye could be the final piece to the puzzle.

Love it! Love it! Love it! You are off the chain!!!
My favorite is siti! I could see you creating a whole community around her. Windless looks just like photos! So realistic - wow!
Faith and seduce looks so real, so familiar! I don't know how old you are or how many years you have studied and/or practiced but I really believe that you are a super talent with an infinite
future. Are you in any museums? I hope to buy something from you in the near future as well. All the best to you!
